Keith Racosky was born as an early baby-boomer on December 10, 1946, following the second great World War. He was the first child born to Clifford “Burl” and Wilma E (Goble) Racosky of Gary, the steel city of northern Indiana. His father, using the name “Burl”, proudly served as a gunners mate in the U.S. Navy on the Battle Ship U.S.S. Alabama during WW II. Phillip, using his middle name “Keith” followed his father by joining the Navy and becoming a sonar technician and serving honorably on the U.S.S. Thomas Jefferson of the Trident class of submarines during the Vietnam war.
After his service in the Navy, Keith became an avid motorcyclist and in fact was a private business owner for a few years running a custom bike shop before returning to college and earning his bachelor’s degree. His career that followed was involved mainly in the pharmaceutical and medical equipment industry.
Keith passed on December 20, 2017 and is survived and dearly missed by his wife, Gisel; brother, Richard; sister, Gail Brosious; sister, Beverly Woodruff; and brother, Martin; Children : Angie Edmiston, Gina Seefeld, Scott Davis, Shane Davis, and Jana Bouchey, Grandchildren : Kayla Racosky, Alyssa Racosky, Brennan Megna, Alea Davis, Collin Seefeld, Madisyn Edmiston, Jaydon Davis, Talon Bouchey, Jaxon Davis and Bryce Bouchey.
Keith Racosky should be remembered for his strong but honest character and his deep love for family, especially his wife Gisel and his country…. all for which he served.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this sad time.
Keith may be in a better place with no pain but it doesn’t make it easier to not have him in your arms.
He is always with you.
May God and the love of and the love of family and friends help you through this difficult time.
