Keith Shaffstall, 67, of Tampa, Florida died on October 19, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Keith had lived decades with a bad heart; he was working on a car and helping others when he sat down and passed. Keith was born on July 6, 1955 in Erie, PA to parents Larry Shaffstall and Jacqui Hawkins. He was raised by his father and stepmother Betty Jean McGreer in California.
Keith married Jane McNurlan (preceded him in death – August 1, 2021). They spent 30 loving years together. After a year of mourning, he met and fell in love with Anna Allen and they were to be married in a few short months.
Keith is survived by his siblings- Beth and Paul Shaffstall, Sisters in Law – Jo McNurlan, Nedra Zasa, and Susie Timms, Nieces- Yvonne Keever, Rachel Minnis and many other nieces and nephews, and Aunt Sandy Shaffstall (his Aunt Sally Shaffstall died a few months ago) They were twins and his favorite relatives.
He loved to work leather and design accessories for friends and family. He spent years as part of numerous archery clubs in California. His friends referred to him as being a kind soul, having a good heart, generous, and thoughtful.
Keith wished to be cremated and placed in the water. We will be setting sail into the Gulf of Mexico to return him where he recently created some wonderful memories.
A memorial for Keith is being held at St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church on 502 Druid Hills Road in Temple Terrace on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 2:00 . All are welcome.
