Kenneth R. Warren was born on December 13, 1926 to Percy and Helen Warren (Baust) in Brooklyn, NY. He died on June 2, 2016 at Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Kenneth enlisted in the United States Navy on August 31, 1944 in New York, NY and was discharged after World War II as a Seaman First Class. At the time of his discharge Kenneth was authorized to wear the American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, World War II Occupation Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Barbara, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years. He was a avid sportsman, a golfer at Timber Pines, and shared friendships with many of his early childhood friends even throughout his later years in life. After the War, Kenneth enlisted and graduated from Pace College in New York. It was then at a party in the Hampton’s with some friends that he met his future bride Barbara.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Kenneth Warren is scheduled for June 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Florida National Cemetery with military honors presented by the United States Navy Honor Guard and Marine Corps League Det. 708.
