Kevin D. Shea, 66, a resident of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on 8/6/2025 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born August 22, 1958, in Middletown, NY, to the late Maurice D. Shea and Nora Greig Shea, Kevin graduated from Middletown High School in 1976 and served in the US Navy. He was a skilled mechanic and carpenter with a passion for feral cats.
Survivors include his daughter Jodi Shea of Springfield, Missouri: step-daughter Justine Ominski of Cape Coral, grandchildren Makayla, Colby, Delaney, Madison, and Jason Jr., of Arizona, and Aria Thomas of Cape Coral, Florida; one brother Patrick Shea and his wife Kathleen of Palm Harbor, Florida and one sister Maureen Dart and her husband Robert of Pine Bush, NY; several nieces and nephews and lastly his precious cats. He is predeceased by his partner of 30 years, JoAnn Vance, and his son Jason Shea.
Services will be private. Interment will be at Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY. Donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to Pets Alive, 363 Derby Rd., Middletown, NY 10940
