Larry R. Safrit, age 84, of New Port Richey Florida, died June 30th 2022 at the Trinity Hospital following a weeklong illness. He was born in Indianapolis Indiana on February 7th, 1938, the son of the late Juanita Montella and John Kester Safrit. He married Sheila Riley on March 31st, 1961 in Little Rock Arkansas. Together they shared 57 years of marriage.
Survivors include Terri Safrit (daughter), Larry Safrit Jr. (son), Heather “Niki” Safrit and Larry “Trey” Safrit III (grandchildren), Margie Ozner (sister). Michael Safrit (brother). He was preceded in death by his wife Sheila Safrit.
Larry served in the US Airforce for 20+ years, and worked for Harold Ives Trucking. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of New Port Richey, and enjoyed bowling, fishing, and hunting.
Services to be held at the 1st Baptist Church of New Port Richey July 8th, 2022. Visitation at 9AM, Funeral Services to be held at 10AM.
