She always enjoyed going to Port Austin, MI to the cabin. Going to Cedar Point in Ohio and anywhere she could find Roller Coasters, the bigger the better. Laura, like her mom, loved Halloween. When devil’s night rolled around, she had to get to her Aunt Chris and go out with Jessica and Erica to have fun. Laura liked Van Gogh, especially The Starry Night. She loved Mandala Art. She loved her music, and all kinds. She and her best friend Ashley Abdenour would go to the Warped Tour every year.
Laura loved her Ryleigh Raye, and she will miss her momma. They loved going to Clearwater Beach, Celebration Station, the local parks/playgrounds, and the pool. They loved riding their bikes and going to the Safety Harbor Pier on Tampa Bay.
The family will receive friends at the Harbor Life Church, 2701 Rigsby Lane, Safety Harbor, Florida on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 3:00 PM until her service time at 4:00 PM. The funeral will begin at 4:00 PM with Pastor Mark A. Weir, to officiate. Final interment will be at the family plot in Gross Point, Michigan in the near future.
“WHENEVER SHE SAW A HOMELESS PERSON OR SOMEONE SITTING OUTSIDE A STORE, SHE WOULD ALWAYS WALK THEM INSIDE THE STORE AND BUY THEM FOOD. ANY EXTRA MONEY SHE HAD SHE SHARED. SHE LOVED PEOPLE AND WATED TO HELP WHEN SHE COULD.”
Laura always told me she was my 4th child. She truly was, even though we didn’t see each other often, we were always in touch. She knew she had a safe haven with us. We will miss her, sending love to Joan, Paul and Ry.
Our deepest sorrows are shared with you. May you find comfort and a little bit of peace and strength as you hold each other. Know that our prayers are with you that Jesus will fill your hearts with love and grace, that never lets us go. He holds Laura and you in hand and heart.
Laura was one of my best friends I ever had. Even though we weren’t as close during the past few years as we used to be, she always did and always will hold such a special place in my heart. The memories we shared and things we went through together I will treasure for the rest of my life. I remember going on family trips to Bad Axe to visit her grandparents and having such and amazing time. Also going to Rhode Island for holidays and a wedding a couple times and making such awesome memories with the family. Paul and Joan, you two are absolutely amazing, wonderful, dedicated parents who raised a beautiful, loving, caring daughter and I send all my love and condolences to you and to beautiful Ryleigh. If there is anything you ever need I’m here for you and the family. I love you Laura Raye forever and always. Thank you for being such a huge part of my life. You truly were the best friend ever. Rest in God’s hands.
Laura was a beautiful woman, inside and out. This breaks my heart. Will someone please let me know more info so I can leave her flowers at the plot in grossed pointe please?
