Leonard R. Boudreau
June 11, 1951 – February 5, 2025
“Leonard R. Boudreau, age 73, of Clearwater, FL, passed away on February 5th, 2025, at the Mid County Hospice, following a courageous 5-month battle with lung cancer.
Born on June 11th, 1951, in Providence, RI, Leonard was the beloved son of the late Joseph Roland Boudreau and Anne Marie Gaudet. Leonard was married to his cherished wife, Jill Boudreau, on December 1st, 2007, at the Safety Harbor Gazebo. They shared 18 wonderful years of marriage together.
Leonard is survived by his three sisters: Anne Marie Solitro, Jeanne Frances Capaldo, and Mary Louise Ferreira, as well as his niece and nephew, Jeanne’s children, Jeremy and Jennifer.
Leonard dedicated 17 years of his career to Suncoast Hospice, primarily at the Roosevelt location, where he worked in the Health Information Department. He was the lead team member in his department and deeply valued the opportunity to serve others.
An accomplished musician, Leonard was a longtime member of the Providence Mandolin Orchestra. His passion for music, particularly the mandolin and guitar, was evident in his talent and commitment to both classical and bluegrass styles. His musical abilities touched the hearts of many, and his performances were a testament to his skill and love for the art.
Leonard’s proudest achievement was graduating from Brown University. However, it was his kindness and warmth that truly set him apart. Leonard had a genuine interest in others, always asking how they were doing and offering kind words to those around him. He made it a point to spread joy and positivity to everyone he encountered.
A celebration of Leonard’s life will be held on March 22nd, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at North Dunedin Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Suncoast Hospice, an organization close to Leonard’s heart.
Leonard will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, generosity, and musical talent will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.”
Such a wonderful testament to a man who was truly loved by so many. He will be missed!
