Leroy Craig Savage, 79, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on September 1, 2024. He was born on October 18, 1944, in Michigan to his loving parents, Harry and Naomi Savage.
Leroy was a dedicated family man and is survived by his daughter, Kathy Rinehart; sons, Leroy Savage and Thomas Savage; daughter, Melissa Cantu; as well as 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Naomi Savage; his brothers, Leonard Hughes and Thomas Savage; grandsons, Noey Mercado and Logan Rinehart; and great-granddaughter, Neveah Peoples.
Leroy was a hardworking contractor and proud owner of Leroy Fish Market. He was a proud member of the local VFW and a die-hard Republican. Known for his passion for fishing, Leroy found great joy in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Above all, his proudest achievements were his children and grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the Veterans Administration. Services will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Veterans Funeral Care, located at 830 N Belcher Road, Clearwater, FL 33765. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Leroy will be remembered for his love of family, community, and the legacy he leaves behind.
