Linda Mary Malpass

The world became a little dimmer on April 23, 2026, as Linda Mary Malpass, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully departed this life at the age of 77. Linda passed away at Suncoast Hospice Care Center North Pinellas, following a courageous 11-year battle with ovarian cancer. Her strength and determination during her illness were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Born to Frank A. and Clara (Mayo) Geraci on November 30, 1948, in Troy, New York, Linda was a beacon of light from the very beginning. Her childhood was spent in the embrace of a loving family, alongside her siblings, Clifford, Tony, Giavanna, and her late sister, Sandra A. (Geraci) Pratt, who predeceased her.

On August 18, 1968, at St. Augustine’s Church in Troy, NY, Linda married her soulmate, Donald F. Malpass, Jr. Their union was a testament to enduring love and companionship, spanning an incredible 57 years. Together, they built a life filled with shared dreams and unwavering support, setting an example of devotion for their son, Rodney, and his wife, Michele.

Linda’s professional journey was marked by her dedication and excellence as a Customer Service Agent and manager for Quaker State Oil and Personal Optics companies. Her colleagues admired her unwavering commitment and the genuine care she extended to everyone she encountered.

Though her career was noteworthy, Linda’s heart belonged to her family. Her proudest achievements were her son Rodney, her treasured grandsons, Holden and Austin, and her marriage that endured the test of time. Linda’s family was her world, and she was the heart of theirs.

Throughout her life, Linda resided in various places, including Troy, NY, Memphis, TN, Havelock, NC, Stillwater, NY, Waterford, NY, Poughkeepsie, NY, Clearwater, FL, Palm Harbor, FL, and Tarpon Springs, FL. Each location became a part of the tapestry of her life’s story, filled with memories and friendships that she cherished.

Linda was a woman of many talents and interests. She found joy in reading, interior decorating, and cooking, each activity a reflection of her creative spirit and love for beauty. Her home was a warm sanctuary, meticulously decorated with her personal touch, where loved ones gathered to share laughter and delicious meals.

Linda’s presence was a gift to all who knew her. She had a rare ability to view life with a positive outlook, remaining non-judgmental and accepting of everyone. Her pride in her appearance was matched only by her inner beauty, radiating kindness and grace.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Don; her loving son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Michele; her cherished grandsons, Holden and Austin; her brothers, Clifford and Tony; and her sister, Giavanna. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Suncoast Hospice Care Center North Pinellas for their compassionate care and support during Linda’s final days.

In honoring Linda’s life, let us celebrate the love she gave, the strength she showed, and the warmth she shared. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her, and her spirit will continue to guide and inspire.

A memorial service will be held to honor Linda’s remarkable life, with details forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Linda’s memory to Suncoast Hospice Care Center North Pinellas, so that others may receive the same compassionate care that she did.

Linda will be deeply missed, but her light will never fade. She will live on in the stories we share, the love we give, and the lives she touched. Rest in peace, dear Linda. Your journey continues in our hearts.
