Linda S. Clark, 81, of Dunedin, died July 13, 2025, at Meadowpark Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dunedin, Florida, following an extended illness. On December 24, 1943, she was born in Union County, North Carolina, to the late Benjamin and Ruth (Belk) Stogner. She was married to the late John W. Clark for 24 years. Survivors include Jannell Carpenter of Costa Mesa, California, Barbara Compton of Palm Harbor, Florida, stepchildren Michelle Clark of Palm Harbor, Florida, Keith Clark of Trinity, Florida, Randi Conger of Springboro, Ohio, five grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Linda worked as a social studies teacher in North Carolina, a social worker for the State of Florida, and retired as a bookkeeper for the Court Reporting Firm of Robert A. Dempster and Associates of Clearwater, Florida. She was a member of Harvest Temple Church of God. Linda enjoyed traveling, especially in the Smoky Mountains area. She was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and loved Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters. Even when confined to a nursing home bed for four and a half years, she expressed a keen interest in seeing family photos and keeping informed on the latest family news. Family and close friends will honor her at a service on August 9, 2025.

I am very sad to hear about Linda’s passing. Linda and I were high school classmates at Parkwood High School and, although I have not been in contact with her for many years, I kept up with her through mutual friends. I have cherished memories of her in our younger years. My sincere condolences to Linda’s family.
