Long Thanh Nguyen, age 80, of Holiday, Florida, died on December 11th, 2023 at Tampa General Hospital following a drastic decline caused by a fall induced injury. He was born on March 5th, 1943, in Vietnam, to his father Phu Nguyen and his mother Ngo Thi Tuc. On December 23rd, 1950, he married Nho Tran in Nha Trang, Vietnam, and they were together for 53 years. Long served in the military defending the South in the Vietnam War, before he and his wife moved to Florida together where he grew his family much like the vegetables that he enjoyed growing in his garden. He will be remembered for his love of gardening, his courage and dedication in his service to his country, and his love for his family. He is survived by his wife, Nho, his daughters, Yen Sau and her husband, Thong Sau, and Kelsey and her husband, George Stone. As well as three grandchildren; Samuel, Ava, and Jennifer. A funeral service will be held in his honor at Veterans Funeral Care on Saturday, December 23rd, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. with an interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, December 28th at 3:00 p.m.
