In Loving Memory of Louise E. Hlad
November 29, 1940 – October 6, 2026
With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of Louise E. Hlad, age 85, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Born in Montour Falls, New York, Louise lived a country life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to the Lord. She was a remarkable woman of strength, independence, and wisdom, whose unwavering faith guided her throughout her life.
A proud member of Indian Rocks Baptist Church, Louise had a deep and passionate love for Jesus Christ. Her faith was not simply something she professed but something she lived each day. She found great joy in reading her Bible and sharing fellowship with the wonderful ladies of her church group, whom she considered more like family than friends.
Louise had a creative spirit and enjoyed painting, crafting, and making beautiful jewelry. Yet, among all the things that brought her happiness, nothing compared to her love for her family and the precious time she spent with her grandchildren. They held a special place in her heart and were among her greatest blessings.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry A. Hlad, with whom she shared over 44 wonderful years of marriage. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to love and devotion, with the Lord always at the center of their lives.
Louise leaves behind children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish her love, wisdom, and the beautiful memories they shared. Her strength, faith, and devotion to those she loved will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
Although her earthly journey has come to an end, her greatest journey has just begun. We find peace and comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of the Savior she loved so dearly.
Her life was a blessing, her faith was her foundation, and her love will forever remain in our hearts.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” — Psalm 23:6 (KJV)

I will miss you grandma who will always be my mom in heart and I’m forever grateful for raising me to be just like you, loving the Lord.
Dear Louise,
I am blessed to have known you and my life was better because you were in it.
The love you showed me and Dad was an inspiration. I am so happy that you showed Dad how a walk in Christian faith was meant.
I look forward to the day I get to see you and Dad in heaven.
Love, April
The day we met, we became friends instantly. That was a long time ago in 1990. I’ve been your friend ever since. The last time I saw you, we told each other we would always be friends. We always have been. We always will be. Always your friend. Save a place for me at His table.
