Lucille Relihan Kato 87, of Tampa, passed away on Tuesday, February 13 th . She was born in Tampa, FL, on July 4 th 1936 to Eula V. and James J. Relihan. A life-long Catholic, she graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, in Tampa. While working at General Telephone Company she met and married Doyle Mason Kato in 1967, they were married for 44 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Frances Brown and Marie Paleveda. She is survived by her siblings: Carroll Kilgore (Ronnie), James Relihan and Oscar Relihan: her children Doyle Mason Kato II, Michael Allen Kato, and Beth Kato Harris (Nathan), grandchildren Alexander Doyle Harris, Jack Dewey Harris, Michael William Kato and Matthew Allen Kato and many nieces and nephews. Lucy enjoyed baking for friends and family, gardening, traveling with her husband, reading mysteries and spending time with family and friends.
Lucille will be buried in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with her husband at a private ceremony for her children and grandchildren only, per her wishes.
A Celebration of Life will be held for all her extended family and friends on March 16 th from 1pm to 4pm at her farm house in Dover.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to a charity of choice.
