Manuel “Manny” Draluck, 92, of Palm Harbor, FL, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Haven, CT, he moved to Tampa from Miami, FL in 1973. He worked in the Hospitality Industry for many years and has been working as a Real Estate Broker for the past 50 years. He was Jewish and a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Highland Lakes Country Club, Palm Harbor. He enjoyed traveling on cruise ships, cooking, music and reading. He was a sports fan, especially tennis.
Manny was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor; second wife, Carroll; daughter, Deborah Hurn and sister, Lillian DeCastro. Survivors include his son, Rhett (Susan) Draluck of Hollywood, FL; three daughters, Diane “Dede” (Sandy) Rappaport, Pamela Magnuson, both of Tampa, and Pam McMahon of Lexington, KY; a sister, May Ahringer of Plantation, FL; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A private interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Honor Flight of West Central Florida, PO Box 55661, St. Petersburg, FL 33732.
DEDE…we were distressed to read of Manny’s passing. You have our deepest sympathy for your loss. We thought your Dad to be a real gentleman and loved being around him the few chances we had. I was sorry we lost touch wsith each other these last few years. Sincerely, Harrie and Helen Bateman
