Mario Giuliano of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully March 24, 2020 at age 93. He was born in Tampa, Florida, on December 2, 1926, to Italian immigrant parents, Antonina Buggica and Paolo Giuliano.
Mario served with distinction in the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper in World War II, and in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He returned to civilian life in St. Petersburg where he worked as a shoe repairman and met his wife Mary, who had moved to Florida from Auburn, New York. Mario became an industrious, skilled business owner and operator, and established shoe repair shops throughout the city of St. Petersburg, including in the famous Webb’s City, and Town Plaza Shoe Repair. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and working in his tool shed.
Mario will mostly be remembered as a strong, supportive family man. He is loved and missed by his wife of 64 years, Mary, his four children, Donna, Marie, Annette and Paul; and his four grandchildren, Shawn, Brian, Marquise and Westley.
Final resting place, Bay Pines Memorial Cemetery.
You will be missed Grandpa,, we have spent many wonderful memories together in the past. The journey has been long, but worth the wait. As 2nd Corinthians 5:8 says ,”Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” Love Brian
