Mark B. Dundore

Mark B. Dundore was born on January 13, 1931, in Cleona, Pennsylvania, the son of Joel Dundore and Susan Dundore (Bucher). He grew up with strong family values that guided him throughout his life.

After graduating from high school, Mark proudly enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country with honor during the Korean War in 1953, an experience that shaped his deep sense of duty and resilience. His service remained a source of pride throughout his life, and he often reflected on the friendships and lessons formed during those years.

Following his time in the Navy, Mark pursued further education at Stevens Trade Technology, where he earned certification as a draftsman and engineer. His career took him to Pasadena, California, for a year of contracting work, and later to Wilmington, Delaware, where he worked with DuPont. He eventually began a permanent position at Ford New Holland, dedicating 20 years of service until his retirement.

Mark lived in Pennsylvania for most of his life before becoming a full-time resident of Seminole, Florida, in 2019. He embraced the “Sunshine State,” enjoying its warmth and community. In retirement, he pursued his love of mathematics, trigonometry, and physics, and stayed active by walking up to five miles a day at the local parks or working out at the gym. He cherished his social life in Florida, spending time at the neighborhood pool and spa, and was a proud member of the local American Legion.
Above all, Mark was a devoted father. He is survived by his daughters Kim Manning (Henry), Patricia Dundore, Lisa Dundore, and his son Mark Dundore Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents Joel and Susan Dundore, and his brother Clarence Dundore.

Mark will be remembered as a wonderful man who loved his family deeply and never met a stranger. His storytelling, warmth, and energy touched everyone he met. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, and dedication that will continue to inspire those who knew him.

He will be laid to rest at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Florida, honoring his proud service to his country. Services will be held at the Bay Pines Cemetery on Tues Nov 25, 2025 @ 1:30pm.
