Mark’s life will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Faith Covenant Church, 150 62nd Ave NE, St Petersburg, FL, 33702, with light lunch following. It would be a joy to know you are joining us to celebrate Mark.Mark lived with great abandon, loving life and chasing joy. He was a fun, funny and kind guy who loved family and friends fiercely and deeply. Those who loved him are better for knowing him. Mark served two years in the US Army, including a tour in Viet Nam. Mark loved WWF Wrestling, talking about Jaws (the movie) and sharks, oldies music and his past.Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bonnie (Estel) Duffy, bonus mom, Eileen (Davis) Duffy, bonus sister Diane(Paul) Garrison. He is survived by sister, Kit (Dave) Duffy Taylor, nephews Shawn and Brock, great niece and nephew Maya and Noah, who were the loves of his life, bonus siblings: Jill (Bob) Sylvies, Rusty (Christy) Davis, Scott Davis, Jay (Kristi) Davis, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.Mark’s last 14 months were in the incredible care of Oak Tree Manor staff, Seminole, FL. They loved and cared for him with grace and kindness and appreciated his humor and uniqueness. Deep thanks to all who loved and cared kindly for Mark throughout his lifetime. I am so grateful for having met Mark and having the opportunity to care for him. Mark meant a lot to me and I will never forget the days of him wants soda, coming by to tell me about his life experiences, or to say “Hey Brother” (like Hulk Hogan.) Mark truly made my days special and he is missed so much. I will never forget him and the first time he hugged me. Heaven has gained an angel that deserves to be there and fly high without pain or suffering. My heart, prayers, and sympathy go to Mark and all that loved him.
