Martha E. Skeens, 80, of Trinity, Florida passed away peacefully at Tampa General Hospital on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Predeceased by her husband, Leo Skeens, Trinity, Florida, four half sisters including Mary Nell Jones Apking Cason of Florida, her parents, Lola Marie Byrd and Everett Rains of Williamsburg, Kentucky. Martha spent most of her formative years in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Florida in 1972. Martha attended the University of Central Florida and received a Bachelors Degree in Medical Records Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from Nova University. Martha is survived by her son, Dr. Joseph L. Skeens, MD and his wife, Janet, of Charleston, West Virginia and Tampa, Florida. Private funeral service (time, day, date) at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd. Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513. Martha will be missed by special family members and dear friends including her special neighbors she loved playing cards with at Heritage Springs Club House and on Ashbourne Circle.
