Mary Juanita “Nita” Reinshagen, 90, of Palm Harbor, FL; beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend to many, passed away peacefully at age 90 on December 17, 2015 at Brandley House Hospice, The Villages, FL.
A combined memorial service and interment will be held at the Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Romulus, NY next summer for both she and her beloved husband, Robert. The date and time are yet to be finalized.
Nita was a 35 year retiree of Bresee’s Department Store in Oneonta. Nita and husband, Robert (Bob), lived in Davenport, NY from 1946 to 1955 and Otego, NY from 1955 to 1988. After retiring, they summered in Romulus, NY and later made a permanent home in Palm Harbor, FL. Both Nita and Bob were avid organic gardeners all of their married life of 67 years.
Nita was predeceased by husband, Robert who passed away on August 5, 2013. They had two children, Donald (Gene) Reinshagen (Glenda), Romulus, NY and Karen Lewis (William), The Villages, FL. Three grandchildren: Dirk H. Reinshagen (Michelle) of San Carlos, CA, Kara L. Vautour (David) of Norwell, MA and Jessica H. McNulty (Kevin) of Scituate, MA. Three step grandchildren: Mark, Graham and Britt Lewis. Four Great Granddaughters: Adelaide and Marlena Reinshagen, and Harper and Darby McNulty. Four step great grandchildren: Miska, Tamia, Meli and Maya Lewis.
Daughter of Ray N. and Mary T. (Robinson) Reeves, Mary Juanita Reeves was born June 18, 1925 in Hartford, Alabama and attended school in Midland City, AL. Nita was one of eleven children. Predeceased by nine of her brothers and sisters, she has one living brother, Jerry Reeves (Donna) of Fairfield, TN.
