Margaret, Mom, Grandma, passed away Sunday January 30, 2022 at the age of 83 in Palm Harbor, Florida after a long illness. Margaret was born in Maria, Quebec Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Penley, her parents Rose and Lawrence Caplin, and one son-in-law Steven Hahn.
She married the love of her life, Roy, in 1956 and had 4 daughters. Linda, Doreen, Sandra, and Sharon. Two son-in-laws, Chris and Don. From her daughters came seven beautiful grandchildren: Derek, Kevin, Jesse, Sarah, Cody, Nathan and Tyler, whom she adored and spoiled. From these came her great grandchildren: Melanie, Jordan, James, Braiden, Lillian, Adalie, Hannah, Emily, Holden, and Adam. Her legacy then continued on with one great-great grandchild, Nicole.
Margaret is survived by two brothers and a sister, Peter Caplin, Isaac Caplin, and Madeline Quevillon as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Although quiet in nature, she was extremely loving and very giving. She loved to work in her flower gardens and watch baby animals. She thoroughly enjoyed bargain shopping and finding all the best deals. She often was found shopping at JCPenney, Walmart, or browsing the local yard sales. When she could not walk long distances or shop too long, she loved riding the power carts at Walmart and Lowes. She absolutely adored children and was always shopping to find the best gifts or toys for the grandkids. Her hobbies were sewing, embroidery, and making crafts. Everyone in the family knew that visits to Grandma’s involved playing Scrabble or Yahtzee, which she loved and cherished. Though, she took pride in the fact that she would always win.
Margaret will be missed beyond measure. There are absolutely no words that can ever describe what our lives will look like without her. However, she gave us the most wonderful gift of knowing and loving her. A part of her now lives in each of us that we will carry with us forever.
She is now asleep till the Angels come and awaken her to see Jesus Coming in the Clouds of Glory to take her Home. May she rest peacefully in God’s hands.
Private services for Margaret were held with immediate family.

Sincere condolences on the loss to all family and friends. What a wonderfullife. May your hearts heal with these wonderful memories.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. We have so many fun memories from knowing your mom, she was so special!!! Our favorite memory is when she had fallen and how we managed to get into the house and then while she was in rehab, we took her a McDonald’s Fish Sandwich at lunch time and she pushed away the hospital food and ate the fish sandwich. She was so cute. Take Care and God Bless to all of you girls. We’ll see you in the spring, love to all of you. Peg, Nick and Kellee
