Mary (Pevek) Zangus, 91, of Ocala, FL, passed away on October 23, 2018. She was born in Jagodna, Croatia on May 9, 1927, the daughter of the late Lillian (Pevek) Fister and John (Ivan) Pevek of Zagreb, Croatia. She graduated from Monaca High School in 1945. Mary was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Monaca, the Croatian Club of Aliquippa, and the Jr. Women’s Club. She was an avid reader and keen dancer all her life. She also enjoyed playing tennis and bowling.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Gus George Zangus. She is survived by her sons: Eric G. Zangus of Ocala, FL and Martin J. Zangus of Cape Coral, FL; her daughters: Constance L. Mensing (husband John) of Raleigh, NC and Linda Muncaster of Cambridge, England; four grandchildren, Vickie Benton (husband Heath) of Greenville, SC; Erica Cain (husband Jay) of Weirton, WV; Alexandra Mensing of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Martin Zangus II of Houston, TX., five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
