Maxine Palmer


Maxine Jualala Palmer, 84, of Largo, FL passed away on October 31st, 2022 at the Tierra Pines Center following a 13-year battle with Alzheimer’s. On March 3rd, 1938, she was born in LaBelle, Florida to parents Robert Purvis and Ruby Elliott. 
On March 9th, 1957, she married Ronald Palmer in Ferry Pass, Florida. Together, they shared 65 years of marriage. Maxine was a seamstress, homemaker extraordinaire, executive assistant, teacher, caretaker, chauffeur, and amazing mother and grandmother. She was also the president of The Relief Society and a teacher in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 
Maxine was predeceased by Charlie Bell Williams, Alfred “Buck” Purvis, Lavelle Willoughby, R.D. Purvis, and Ruby Purvis. She is survived by Ronald Palmer, Keith Palmer, Michael Palmer, Diane Palmer-Makin, Teresa Gallandre-Lebhar, Amy Palmer-Duchesne, Stephanie Johnson, Michael Palmer, Jr., Danielle Palmer, Keely Palmer, Ronnie Palmer, Sera Makin, Daniel Palmer, Joshua Palmer, Meghan Lucia, Lana Duchesne, Vanessa Duchesne, Matthew Duchesne, Egon Palmer, Hailey Johnson, Kinley Gallagher, Logan Gallagher, Taylor Johnson, Dossie “Shorty” Purvis, Carolyn Blamick, and Robert Purvis.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints- 9001 106th Ave N. Seminole, FL 33777.
