Melanie Ann Hyatt (Wilcox) went to Heaven on August 7, 2019 after she was diagnosed with stage 4 gallbladder/liver cancer.
She is survived by her 4 daughters (Abigail, Melissa, Katy and Olivia) , 3 grandchildren ( Elizabeth, Julia, and Liana), 2 brothers (Barry and Brian) , and her sister (Thelma).
She was born in Lompoc, California (Air force base) on November 17, 1960. Her parents are Judith Welch and Harold Wilcox.
She grew up in Torrington, Connecticut then moved to Jacksonville\Tampa, Florida where she spent the rest of her days.
She was a Christian, a wonderful mother, and a great friend. She was a very spunky woman and will be greatly missed……..
Melanie was my friend for over 23 years. We laughed, cried, but mostly just supported each other. You will be missed but I am comforted by the knowledge that you will live in our hearts forever. May the reunion on the other side sweet. Love You!
In the years that I have known you; your smile and your courage have always been a good example. I know that you are in a better place right now than where you were. Now at peace, no pain, and no more suffering. My heart goes out to you where ever you are and hope that you will look in on everyone once and a while to see if we are all ok. You are missed and loved.
As the granddaughter of Melanie, I am devastated by my grandma’s passings, no one made me laugh like you, no one makes me happy like you, but most importantly, no one makes me feel safer than you. Losing my best friend was the hardest thing in my entire life. I wish you could have seen me graduate high school in 2022, I wish you could have met my kids, but most importantly I cant wait to see you again. Everything thing I do i do for you my angel, I love you forever and ever <3
