TSgt (Ret) Michael Sandoval, 73, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital in Tampa, Florida, on July 21, 2023.

Michael was a decorated veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years as a Turbo Prop/Turbo Shaft maintainer. He earned the Air Force Commendation Medal, was an expert marksman, and received the Tactical Air Command Special Achievement and Safety Award,
among many other commendations. His military service took him around the world, with assignments in South America, Asia, Europe, and various locations in the continental U.S., in support of numerous operations, including Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

A lifelong passion for the military instilled in Michael a strong belief in God, Family, and Country. His true happiness was spending time with his family. Survivors include his cherished daughter, Shannon Jimenez, son-in-law Timothy Jimenez, and two adored grandchildren, Cody and Zia. He is also survived by his sisters, Lydia Sintas and Cecilia Luera, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph Sandoval and Mary Garcia, his brothers Robert, Joseph Jr, and Anthony, and his sister Ana.

He will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery Park in Bushnell, Florida, on November
10, 2023, at 11:00 AM, where he will find eternal peace and rest.
