With faith and hope, we announced the passing of Mr. Oscar Alfredo Júarez, who peacefully departed this life on September 14, 2024, at his home in St. Petersburg, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 2, 1937, in La Ceiba, Honduras, Oscar’s life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and an unshakeable love for his family and community.
Oscar was the cherished step son of Leonso Leal and Carlota Júarez, who instilled in him the values of compassion and perseverance that defined his remarkable journey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carlotta, his stepfather, Leonso, his brother Agusto Nicolas Juarez, and his beloved son, Oscar Alfredo Júarez Jr.
His life’s riches were unconditional love, steadfast commitment, and an unwavering pursuit of a brighter tomorrow. For over 40 years, Oscar excelled as an electrician, notably supervising operations at a sugar mill for more than two decades. His work ethic and technical expertise earned him the respect of his colleagues and the admiration of his community.
However, Oscar’s greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Amanda Júarez (Parajón), with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage. Together, they built a close-knit family, leaving behind a legacy of love and unity.
Oscar was a loving father to four children: Oscar Alfredo Júarez, Jenny Chirinos and her husband René, Melvin Júarez and his wife Rachel, and Lorena Juarez. His wisdom, warmth, and guidance will be profoundly missed. He was also a proud grandfather to Joey, Jason, Rachel, Melissa, Daniel, Renatta, David, Elias, Andres, who brought immense joy to his life. He was blessed with three great-grandchildren; Jazae, Jaxon, and Jonah.
He stood as a pillar of unyielding integrity, distinctive humor, and uncommon generosity. He particularly enjoyed devoting his free time to reading and watching soccer games. Oscar’s enduring pride was in raising a family that prioritizes mutual care and support.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate Oscar’s life on September 21, 2024, at 2:30 P.M. at Veterans Funeral Care located at 830 North Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL 33765.
We are thankful for Renatta’s thoughtful daily visits, who kindly read to him when he was not longer able to do it independently, and to our mom for being by his side until the he took his last breath.

Nacido el 2 de Noviembre de 1937 en La Ceiba, Honduras, la vida de Óscar fue un testimonio de trabajo arduo, dedicación y un amor inquebrantable por su familia y comunidad.
Óscar fue el querido hijastro de Leonso Leal y Carlota Júarez, quienes le inculcaron los valores de compasión y perseverancia que definieron su notable trayectoria. Le precedieron en la muerte su madre, Carlotta, su padrastro, Leonso, su hermano Agusto Nicolas Juarez, y su amado hijo, Óscar Alfredo Júarez Jr.
Las riquezas de su vida fueron el amor incondicional, el compromiso firme y la inquebrantable búsqueda de un mañana más brillante. Durante más de 40 años, Óscar destacó como electricista, supervisando notablemente las operaciones en un ingenio azucarero durante más de dos décadas. Se llevará a cabo un servicio fúnebre para celebrar la vida de Óscar a las 2:30 P.M. del 21 de Septiembre de 2024, en la funeraria Veterans Funeral Care localizado en 830 North Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL 33765.
