Patricia Ann Barrett Brown

Patricia Ann Barrett Brown, age 79, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, from cardiac arrest.

Patricia was born on May 3, 1946, and was raised in Rome, Georgia, where she grew into a beautiful young woman with a heart for serving others. This innate nurturing spirit led her to discover a true passion for nursing, and she attended Piedmont School of Nursing. During this time, she met the love of her life, Dwight.

After their marriage, they welcomed two beautiful daughters into the world: Lori in 1969 and Robin in 1972. Patsy spent her life as a devoted caretaker. Whether caring for her husband, her children, her beloved dogs, or members of her community, it brought her the greatest joy.

She was a light in every room she entered, and that light came from her love for the Lord. She poured into the lives of many people through her church and everyday interactions—sharing her faith, participating in women’s Bible studies, supporting food pantries, and offering her genuine kindness to all she met.

Patricia had many accomplishments in life, including work in healthcare, modeling, her jewelry business, and a creative talent for oil painting. However, her greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren.

Even when hearing loss and other health challenges arose, she continued to laugh her way through life with grace and joy. Jesus called her home to heaven on March 5, 2026, at 11:04 a.m. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds peace in knowing she is now smiling, dancing, and experiencing a happiness beyond anything she knew on earth. For such a beautiful and loving soul, this is not an ending—only a “see you later.”

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Barrett and Helen Earwood Barrett.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Dwight Brown; her sister, Deborah (Gary) Daves; her daughters, Lori (Kevin) Brown and Robin (Joe) Windham; her grandchildren, Noah Vaknin, Lauryn Windham, Julia (Kyle) Rose, and Elly Windham; her brother-in-law, Dawson Brown; her sister-in-law, Mary Brown Perez; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on March 10, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Countryside Christian Church – Clearwater Campus.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made in Patsy’s honor to a charity of your choice.
