Patricia Ann McCutcheon (Rowland) passed away on February 26, 2016. She was a native of St. Petersburg, Florida born on November 23, 1924, at Faith Hospital, now known as St. Anthony’s Hospital. Patricia was a graduate of St. Petersburg High School class of 1942, and attended Bixby Business School. She married Robert Fassler in 1945. He was an officer in the Army and a Bomber Pilot on loan to the RAF during WWII. Together they traveled the world, Guam, Japan, France, Germany, and England, where she attended the coronation of Queen Elizabeth.
Sadly this chapter of her life ended abruptly with the death of her husband. Patricia returned home to Redington Beach, with their two children, where she met and married Paul R. McCutcheon Jr. in 1955. Patricia and Paul combined their love of the outdoors with business, to own and operate McCutcheon’s Nurseries Inc. until 1973.
Patricia is predeceased by her husband, Paul R. McCutcheon Jr.; her son, Paul R. McCutcheon III; and grandson, Brian Knox McCutcheon. Patricia is survived by her three sons, Robert (Pat), Thomas R. (Virginia), and Andrew McCutcheon; daughter, Nan McCutcheon; eight grandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation made to Hospice, and think of Patricia the next time you have a hardy laugh with friends and family, enjoy a sunny day working in the yard, a day at the beach, or travel the globe.
Friends and family are invited to share a memory and sign the guestbook below.
