Paul was honored to serve his country in the U.S. Navy, where he specialized in Radio Visual Signaling. He received the National Defense Service Medal for his service, a source of pride he carried throughout his life. He was an Honorably Discharged Veteran, and his commitment to his nation set a lasting example for many.
After his time in the military, Paul continued to enrich the lives of those around him. He was known for his approachable nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors. The bonds he formed in his community were a testament to his warm spirit and kind heart.
Paul had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He found solace in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was bicycle riding along the scenic paths of Largo, Florida, or taking leisurely walks with his beloved dog. A graveside service to honor Paul H. Mitchell will be held on April 4, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Bay Pines National Cemetery. All who knew him are invited to come together to celebrate his life and legacy.
