Pearl brought joy to all those she encountered. Smiles always surrounded her in
the room she was in. She was known for her lovingness and indomitable
independence. Pearl will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of
knowing her!
Over the years, Pearl had a number of passions that gave her joy. Among them
were painting and golfing. Pearl and her husband Welder were award-winning
amateur golfers. She also enjoyed many years as an accomplished amateur artist
(painter). Her reproduction of Thomas Gainsborough’s "Blue Boy" is evidence of
the talent for painting that she possessed. One could not help but see the pride
and joy she had when presenting it to others.
Pearl was preceded in passing by her husband Welder and siblings Irene, Francis
(“Fran”), Victor (”Vic”) and Bernard (“Bernie”). Surviving family members include
Rachael, Jennifer (“Jenn”), Ray, Robert (“Bob”), Ruth (“Ruthie”) and James (“Jim”).
She will be laid to rest at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Tuesday July 30th at 2:30pm, joining her
husband, Welder, after 22 years apart.
Aunt Pearl,
I’m so sorry to hear about your passing. It has been a very long time since we communicated. I know you wanted to be the oldest living person, however 103 is impressive.
God Bless,
Tom (Nephew, Henry’s Son)
