hillip Martin Schwab, Jr. was born on September 7, 1946 to Phillip and Margaret (Mensing) Schwab in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He passed away on February 26, 2018 at Bay Pines VA Medical Center. He went to be with Jesus, our hearts are saddened however, our spirits are rejoicing that he is reunited with his family in heaven. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Family
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Beth (Saxton) Schwab; sons Phillip Schwab IV and Christopher (Christine) Schwab; brother Martin (Chris) Schwab; sisters Diana Cleveland, Karen (Jerry) Wachowiak; grandchildren Alexis, Josh and Catherine Schwab; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Life
Phil loved traveling with his wife of 50 years, Beth, to family get togethers in Wisconsin and Disney World. He loved socializing and joking around with everyone he met. He was known as “Uncle Happy” because he always put a smile on peoples’ faces. A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and a local resident since 1979. He worked in the environment lab at Honeywell. He was an Army Medic during the Vietnam War. At the time of his honorable discharge, he was eligible to wear the National Defense Service Medal and his designation as an expert with the M-14 rifle on his uniform.
Services
A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 11:15 am at Connect2Christ Church located at 9398 Oakhurst Road in Seminole, Florida 33776. Pastor Mary Haley will be officiating the service. A graveside service with military honors provided by the United States Army is scheduled for March 13, 2018 at 10:45 am at Bay Pines National Cemetery. Pastor Mary Haley will also be officiating over the graveside service. All guests planning on attending the graveside service should arrive at 10:15 am.

We are so sorry for your family’s loss. Seems impossible that he’s left us so soon. We have many fond memories of Phil and Beth’s visits to Wisconsin. The joking around, the card playing, the big gatherings, by Marty and Christine. Phil will be remembered well by us all. Our prayers are with you all.
