Ralph Daniel Chianelli


Ralph Daniel Chianelli, 87, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at the McGraw Center for Caring.  He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Jacksonville in 1999.

He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War era.  During his time in the Navy, he was a photographer and also played football and baseball.

He then went to work for Bell of Pennsylvania (now Verizon) as a Telephone Repairman and retired from there after 37 years of service. He was the proud father of three daughters, loved his family and was a Steelers and Jaguars fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Lenore Chianelli.  He is survived by his daughters, Lee McCrorie of Pittsburgh, PA, Judy Brooks (Terry) of Jacksonville, FL and Dana Chapman of Ponte Vedra, FL; four grandchildren, Daniel Chapman (Molly), Maxwell Chapman (Molly), Melanie Anderson (Matt), and Eddie Pail (Mindy); and six great-grandchildren, Emma, Jon, Lily, Parker, Ryan and Mackenzie.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be considered in the name of Ralph D. Chianelli to one of the following:

The family will have a private memorial service on Thursday, September 22, 2016.
