Raymond Joseph Guardino

Mr. Raymond Joseph Guardino entered peacefully into eternal rest on November 18th, 2019 at Bay Pines VA Medical Center.  He was 72 years old.

Originally from The Bronx, NY, Ray enlisted in the United States Army shortly after graduating from Christopher Columbus High School in 1966.  He served proudly and duties took him to Vietnam working with a Field Artillery unit.  As his time in Vietnam progressed, he was awarded several medals for his dedicated service including: National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars affixed and The Purple Heart.  Ray was honorably discharged in 1969, returned home and attended Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY.  Shortly after he worked with RJ Nabisco from 1970 to 1990 and later a second career as a construction contractor.  A man who loved fishing, gardening, gambling and playing Lotto (which he always seemed to win), Ray always had a soft spot for his pets and his favorite was always Cesar.

He leaves behind the most cherished love of his life, wife Patricia, with whom he enjoyed 50 years of marriage; daughters Diana (Nick) Del Peschio and Joanna Guardino; grandchildren Joella Marie Del Peschio, Raymond J. Keelin and Leonardo V. Keelin.
