Raymond Emmons, 75, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on October 27, 2017. He was born in Carey, Ohio and is survived by his wife, Georgienne (father George), daughters Kimberly (husband Paul) and Christine (husband Mike), sister Susie (husband Vonnie), granddaughters, loving nieces and nephew.
Ray was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, a former Lieutenant with the Clearwater Police Department and Officer with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. He was a role model, highly intelligent, and a man of deep convictions. He was also a man who loved bad jokes, helping others, his pets, and traveling with his family. He especially had a soft spot for children and helped children’s charities throughout his lifetime.
One of Ray’s greatest accomplishments was completing his Master’s degree in criminal justice at the University of South Florida. He prized education greatly; a belief he passed on to his family. Ray was also a huge USF Bulls fan and happily cheered for his Alma Mater.
Ray will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A service with Military Honors will be scheduled shortly, please check back for date, time and location.
My deepest sympathy to you GIGI and your family. I wish I could put my arm around you to comfort you just briefly. You and Ray were the finest volunteers and kindest people I have had the opportunity of knowing.
May the memories you have fill your heart with peace.
My most heartfelt sympathies go out to Gigi, Kimberly and Christine. My dear friend, Ray, was a man of many great qualities, as all who knew him were well aware. Honorable, determined, relentless, and patriotic he always had a goal to do the right thing. He loved his family and was exceptionally proud of them and always protective and supportive. A life well-lived is its own reward. You will be missed RLE. Requiescat in pace, Ray….
I am so very sorry for this your loss. My heart aches for Christine, the entire family and all those who knew Ray. May God comfort and keep you all during this time of sorrow. May your hearts be filled with memories of his smile, the sound of his laugh and may you be comforted with your memories of moments spent with him and the endless love that he had for his family and friends.
Matthew 5:4 says, “The Lord will wrap His arms of love and comfort around those who trust in Him.” I pray that God wraps his loving arms around each of you and provides you comfort during your grief.
Dear GIGI I am so sorry for the passing of your husband. I am letting Becky and Debbie Know. I know your daughters will miss him terribly. May God comfort all of you at this time.

Gigi, special lady left behind, I know you will miss this man with all your heart and soul, but no more medical issues. You know where I knew you two from and that’s a long time ago. I know you loved the camping trips also and will have your nature memories, as well as a life full of family. His acomplishments were many and will be remembered for many years. May God reach down and give you peace.
