Richard Otto Eisele was born on February 26, 1933 to William and Bessie Eisele in Peekskill, New York. Hen passed away on August 31, 2016 at his home in Palm Harbor, Florida surrounded by his loving family. Richard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie Eisele (Colao); by his four daughters Leslie Eisele, Jennifer Eisele, Melissa Eisele, and Jessica (Charles) Tenner; and by his four grandchildren Justin, Aubrey, Eli, and Zachary.
Richard attended Cardinal Farley Military Academy on a music/academic scholarship, marched in the NYC Thanksgiving Parades, and played in the Band of the Elk’s Lodge #1. Music was an integral part of his life. He always had a song in his heart, a smile on his face,and a kind word for everyone he met.
Richard Eisele served his country in the United States Army Security Agency during the Korean War. He extended his service to instruct at the English Language Institute, Seoul Korea, for which he received a letter of gratitude. After his service, Richard attended Southern Methodist University and enjoyed a successful career as a mechanical engineer.
A funeral service to honor the life of Richard Eisele is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 6:30 pm at Unity of Palm Harbor with a visitation beginning at 6:00 pm. Military honors will be presented at the church by the United States Army. The service will be officiated by Pastor Luis Mulholland.
