Richard “Dick” Paul Shaw, 83, of Madeira Beach, FL passed away November 7, 2020 in St. Petersburg, FL.  Richard was born September 17, 1937 in Elmhurst, IL to Glenn Comfort and Barbara Elizabeth (Franzen) Shaw. Richard attended Immaculate Conception High School in Elmhurst. He served in the US Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1959.  Dick was married to Bonita Ann Van Brakel in 1968 and they raised three children together. In 1980 he married Linda Danielle Castille and they had one son. He was employed in the natural gas industry for over 40 years and worked at Phillips Engineering of Clearwater, FL from 1974 to 1994. He worked at Equipment Controls Company of Norcross, GA from 1994 until he retired at 81 in 2018. “Dick” to the industry, was beloved and respected by colleagues as well as his customers. “Pops” to his kids, was a kind, dedicated father, grandfather, mentor, and friend, and his hobbies were his children and traveling any new road he could find. Richard will be eternally loved and is survived by his children Christopher (Darice) Shaw  of Bradenton, Lisa (Dave) Matta of Ft Myers, Julie (Robert) Mentry of Dunedin, and Steven Shaw (Alicia Wente) of Atlanta, grandchildren Stephanie, Cory, Hunter, Michael, Harley, Audrey, Isabella and Sadie, great-grandson Aiden, his elder brother Robert (Barbara), many nieces and nephews, his in-laws, and the Castille family. He was loved and adored by each and every one of them. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Linda Danielle (Castille), his parents, his sisters, Laurie, Joanne and Mary Lou, and his brother in law Ivor Lewis.
