Richard Walter Jones, age 57, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away March 20th, 2022 at the Morton Plant Hospital. Richard was born on April 23rd, 1964 in Chicago Illinois to Donald Jones and Beverly Houghton.
Survivors include wife Melinda Jones, parents Donald Jones (Jane Simpson) & Beverly Houghton, siblings Catherine (Scott) Harper, Charles Jones, Chris (Amy) Marnec, son Walter Jones, aunt Demetria, Uncle Ken and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Richard is proceeded in death by grandparents Richard & Elizabeth Jones, Kathleen Mary (Bate) Houghton & Walter Craig Houghton.
Richard loved his travels with the US Navy, seeing the world while serving his country. He learned technical engineering and found constant joy in the continued learning as technology evolved. He loved fishing in the ocean, scuba diving, camping, learning history.
Services are to be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery, April 5th at 12:30PM.
