Robert Albert Antone, age 83, of Saint Petersburg Florida passed away on the eleventh day of February 2021. Bob was born in New Bedford Massachusetts. He proudly served his country in The United States Air Force before starting his career as a professional truck driver. He was a member of the New England Teamster & Trucking Union. In 1980, he relocated to Saint Petersburg where he lived for forty years. Five months before his death, he and his beloved wife Janet relocated once again to Fleming Island Florida.
Bob is survived by his wife of fifty five years Janet; his children, Cathy Antone Knight, Bill Scott, Fred Scott and Carl Antone; his brother, Richie; as well as eleven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by two of his sons, Robert Antone Jr. and Timothy Antone; his sisters Clair and Pauline; his brother Buddy; and his parents Rhea B. Surprenant and John W. Antone.
Services to be held Friday, February 26th. A viewing at Veterans Funeral Care located at 830 N. Belcher Road Clearwater, FL at 11:00AM. This will be followed at 2:00PM by a Graveside Military Honors Service at Florida National Cemetery located at 6502 S.W. 102nd Ave., Bushnell Florida.
Carl and Melanie, I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you can remember all of the good times and believe he is still around watching over you. I know this is a hard time. Love to you both.
