It is very difficult to comprehend that you are gone. I miss you so much.
I can only imagine your sorrow at this sad time. Please remember how much I love you and will be here for you whenever you need me.
I’m here for you Sal. Love you so much, and I’m so sorry for your loss.
I was honoured to be your brother. You are a good man with a kind heart and tremendous sense of humour. I admired your courage and tenacity. Rest in peace.
I will always remember our great times in Essex at Grandma’s growing up. We would be forced to go to bed early on Christmas Eve at Gram’s after we watched “Captain Jolly & Poopdeck Paul” on CKLW TV share with us in “TV-land” that Santa was about to fly over the Detroit-Southern Ontario Region any minute and we should get to sleep ASAP!!! It seemed we JUST got to sleep when the BIGGEST ELF OF ALL (your mum,…Aunt Joan) woke us up and demanded we all head to the Living Room because Santa arrived!!! :) We RAN into the room excited beyond belief! Aunt Joan and my mum (Aunt Margaret to you) would be there with us along with Grandma and Grandpa Whiteford. OF COURSE my dad (Dale) and your dad (Ron) were always the most sluggish to respond to this command performance. Even though we ALL knew it was a ridiculous time to be “celebrating”, we always did it after midnight. This became our tradition. I will always miss these special times….but I will miss you even more Cuz. I will always admire your strength, courage, and tenacity for living as long as possible to see things through the best you could. All you wanted was to leave Sallie with a good life to the best of your ability and you did that. You will never be forgotten, and I look forward to our good times ahead on the other side!!! All my love, Cheryl xoxox
Rob, I never met you in all the years you and my very best friend were together but I feel like I knew you because Sal spoke of you all the time. Thank you for being such a wonderful and special man to her. She will miss you and love you forever.
Sallie,
There are no words to express my sorrow for your loss. Not only were you wonderful neighbors, but have become dear friends. I know he fought hard, and rallied so often because he wanted to make sure he left you in a safe place. He accomplished that, and was just an incredible man. I am here for you, Sallie. For whatever you need.
Sallie,
There are no words to express my sorrow for your loss. I know he was a great guy because you married him. Stay strong and know that I love you and I’m praying for you and the family.
Sallie, I am very sorry for your loss. I know you loved him and would have taken care of him forever. THank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. All of our lives were blessed to have such a loving, witty, outgoing friend / family member. He wasn’t just my cousin, but he was a brother to me. Laughing at his intelligent dry humor, and cheeky smile keeps me smiling every day. He always had a way to bring laughter to family and friends at gatherings, or on a phone call. Always a pleasure to see Rob not knowing what fun we would have, usually constructed out of nothing. We all will miss him dearly. Barb and Lauren have the same great memories and belly laughs remembering Rob. He will never be forgotten…
Sallie, So sorry for your loss. Robert was a great man, I had the honor to work with him for a few years at The Tampa Bay Times. He is remembered by his coworkers and customers as a smart man who you could always trust! He was a part of my team for a few years and one of my favorite people! My thoughts are with you and your family. Jennifer
I’m so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing. I had the pleasure of knowing him and working with him in the Clearwater office at the Tampa Bay Times. He was always a hard working, motivated person. When he left on medical leave, he would always send me funny emails and we would keep in touch on his progress. It sounded like he was doing so much better. I am just so, so, sad to hear of his passing. What a privilege to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and his family at this sad time and I hope you find peace and comfort from friends and loved ones. He will be missed.
