Robert Floyd Spangler an Air Force Retiree, 70, of Riverview, passed away on January 17, 2018.
Robert was born on May 14, 1947, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, a son of Donald Spangler and Mary Elizabeth Salzberg Spangler.
He is survived by his wife, Zdravka Spangler of Riverview.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, January 29, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Sarasota National Cemetery. Military rites will be rendered.

Met Bob at Elgin in 1972-73, we were assigned to air rescue with several HC-130Es. We stayed in touch for years but unfortunately in the last years of of his life we were unable to maintain as close a contact. He was a fighter, living a long life with serious heart issues. I have fond memories of time spend fishing with him at the fish camp with our friend Ted Elliott. He is certainly missed.
