Robert Lee Warren

Robert L. Warren

Robert “Bob” Lee Warren was born on January 4, 1930.  He passed on February 2, 2025, at the remarkable age of 95.  Bob was born in Worthington, Indiana, to Lloyd and Evelyn Warren. He grew up farming and graduated valedictorian of his high school alongside his future bride and salutatorian, R. Betty Owen. Bob graduated from Purdue University with honors and a degree in Agronomy.  Upon graduation, he was drafted into the Army as a 1st Lieutenant and served his country in Korea.  Upon his return to the States with an honorable discharge, Bob was sought out by Orville Redenbacher and Charlie Bowman to join them in leading their company, Chester’s, Inc., to a successful future.  Bob went on to become Vice President of Chester’s, Inc.  He took the now-famous Orville Redenbacher’s Gourmet Popping Corn to the World Fair where it won its first Blue Ribbon, and the rest is history!  Loved and admired by his family and friends, Bob was a determined, strong, ethical, inspiring, and brilliant man who could fix just about anything.  He was, among many things, a pilot, avid NASCAR lover, and a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  He was survived by his daughter, Beth Warren Boyer; his son-in-law, Wayne Boyer; and his grandson, Adderly Cannon.  He will be missed every, single day.  The world will feel a little less full without the presence of Bob Warren.  His legend and lessons will live on.  Rest in peace, Bob.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S.W. 102nd Ave. Bushnell, FL. 33513 on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
