Robert W. Lester, 81, passed away on August 13, 2024, in Clearwater, FL. He was born on June 9, 1943, in Framingham, MA. He was the son of the late Walter and Mabel Johnson. He grew up to be a man that would influence the lives of many. He will be sorely missed.
Robert married his beloved wife, Mary Alice, on September 2, 1989, in Hansen, MA., together they shared 35 years of cherished memories.
Robert dedicated his day to working in service. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force between January 5th, 1962, to January 4th, 1966, during which he advanced to the rank of E-3, Airman Second Class, as an Inventory Management Specialist. Robert served proudly and honorably. Additionally, He served as a tour bus driver, sharing his love for travel and storytelling with passengers from many walks of life. Robert often coupled his love for touring with Photography capturing beautiful landscapes and precious family moments. His work brought him and others a great deal of joy. He was good at his job and proud to serve the public.
Those he leaves behind will forever be grateful to have been a part of the pages of his life story. Robert not only leaves behind a family he so dearly loved, but also a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all those that knew him.
The Lester family has entrusted Veterans Funeral Care in Clearwater, FL, with the arrangements. Robert’s life will be celebrated in a manner befitting to his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
