In Loving Memory of Ronald Eugene Aylor
Ronald Eugene Aylor, 87, of Ruskin, Florida, passed away on October 6, 2023. He was born on January 24, 1936, in Muncie, Indiana, to Kay Henry and Mildred M. Aylor.
Ronald dedicated twelve years of his life serving in the Marine Corps, demonstrating unwavering commitment to his country. Following his military service, he became a valued member of the General Motors family, where he worked diligently until his well-earned retirement. Even in retirement, Ronald continued his service to the community as a Ball State University Security Officer, a Muncie Police Reserve Officer and served as a Mason for over ten years.
Ronald had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies, including reading, bowling, and watching old westerns. He found his greatest joy in the company of his beloved wife, Suzanne E. Aylor (Swindells), whom he married on March 26, 1960, in London, England. Their enduring love story spanned an incredible sixty-three years, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Ronald will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Suzanne, and their three daughters: Sandra Keller of Richmond, VA, Eugenia (Matthew) Ruch of Ruskin, FL, and Rhonda (David) Johnson of Doylestown, OH. He will also be missed by his five grandchildren: Doug (Amanda) Keller, Mallory (Jenny) Reed, Phillip (Nicole) Ruch, Justin Ruch, and Grant Johnson; and his two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Liam.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Ronald’s remarkable life will be held on November 17, 2023, at 10:30 AM, at Veterans Funeral Care, 830 N Belcher Rd., Clearwater, FL 33765. Following the service, a Burial with Military Honors will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241, at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a veterans’ charity of your choice in Ronald’s honor.
