Ronald Everett Cooprider, 87, passed away on November 22, 2023, at LifePath Hospice in Sun City Center, Florida. He peacefully left his earthly family and moved into his heavenly home. A celebration of his life will be held on December 1 at 11:00 am at Limona Village Chapel at 408 Limona Rd, Brandon, Florida. In lieu of flowers you may give a donation in his memory to Limona Village Chapel. He was born in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois on December 2, 1935, to Everett and Isobel Cooprider. On a snowy, windy, wet evening at the age of 14 Ron received the Lord as his Savior. and from that moment on he dedicated his life to the Lord, to his country, and to his family. Because his mom divorced Everett, finances were very tight, and Ron decided to leave high school to get a job to help mom make ends meet. At the age of
20, he joined the Air Force and decided to make it his carrier. He completed his GED and went on to be honored, completing many training courses to become a mechanic and then a teacher for the new recruits. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Florida, North Africa, France, Vietnam, New Jersey, Alaska, Guam, Maine, Texas, and
Illinois. He retired from the Air Force with honors in 1976 as a Master Sergeant. From there, he worked with Ring Power as a forklift repair man. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling and won several trophies. Early in his Air Force career he met and married Carole Ernsberger. They had two children, Mary Beth, and John. Wherever they were stationed, the family attended a worship service on Sunday morning. After retiring, Ron and his family moved to Brandon and joined the Limona Village chapel where Ron became an usher and volunteered to manage the Church Cemetery with the help of his son, John, and others. In the last five years of his life, he offered a room in his home to a lady from church, Gina Fino. He hoped she would help him out because of his tremors. Little did she know that she would become his companion and caregiver as he continued to decline in health. We greatly appreciated her caring service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole, in 2014. He is survived by his three brothers, Bill Cooprider (Louise), Terry Cooprider (Robin); and Bob Cooprider (Sharon), and his sister, Judy Lippert; and his two children, Mary Beth Foster (Brian) and John Cooprider and three grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Visitation followed by Service will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, Dec 1 at Limona Village Chapel, 408 Limona Rd, Brandon, FL 33510. Graveside with military honors will take place same day at 1:00 PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue Tampa, Florida 33610
