Ms. Rosa Lee Wright, 76, of St. Petersburg, FL departed this life in the wee hours of Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Bayfront Health.
Rose was born on January 7, 1939 in Lake City, FL to the late Joseph David Foster and Ethel Lucille Jerry Foster. She was the first of fifteen born to this union. Rose attended Richardson High School in Lake City, prior to her wedding of Bernard Wright and moving to St. Petersburg where she began her culinary art of cooking. She went to New York City to continue her art of cooking fine foods with Stouffer and the Marriott. Besides cooking for her family and friends, Rose enjoyed crocheting, reading, and Bingo.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ethel; two brothers, Will Trowell and James Foster; and two sister, Roline and Mary J. Foster. She leaves to cherish her memories four brothers: Eddie Lee and Paul Foster of St. Petersburg, Alvin Foster of Springfield, MO and Larry A. Foster of Atlanta, GA; seven sisters: Betty Phillips and Vandella Foster of Altamonte Springs, FL, Erline Foster of East Point, GA, Mary Alice Foster of Atlanta, GA, Flora Foster and Ethel Lee Foster of Branford, FL, and Essie Smith of St. Petersburg; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 AM on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 4200 17th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, 33713. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
