Rosaire Joseph Albert, 67, of Largo, FL passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Bay Pines VA Health Care System, Bay Pines, FL.
Born in St. Agatha, ME, Rosie moved here from Terryville, CT in 2010 where he retired as a crane operator for Summit Crane in Bristol after 25 years in the industry. He was Catholic and a Army veteran of Vietnam. He was a Handyman and a talented carpenter He was a member of American Legion Plymouth Post 20 in Terryville, the Elks Lodge 1224, St. Petersburg, FL and a lifetime member of the DAV. He enjoyed the beach, NASCAR, socializing, and being with his grandchildren.
Rosie is survived by his wife of 20 years, Janet; son, Michael Albert; daughter, Jennifer Albert, both of New Britain, CT; stepson, Mitchell Seeley of Uncasville, CT; stepdaughter, Kristie (Martin) Wilson of Torrington, CT; two brothers, Camile (Diane) of Plainville, CT and Ronald (Janell) of Bristol, CT; two sisters, Claudette Caron of Glastonbury, CT and Carmen (Louie) Delorso of Wethersfield, CT; brother in law, Norman (Karen) Caron of St. Petersburg; six grandchildren: Tyler, Alexis, Kimberly, Brittany, Christopher, and Matthew; and great granddaughter, Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Annie; and brother Real Albert.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 10, 2015 at the Elks Lodge #1224, 2675 66th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33710.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Bay Pines VAHCS, PO Box 5005, Bay Pines, FL 33744. Write “Hospice Unit” in the Memo.
I am so sorry, I didn’t have the honor of meeting such a great man, but he was there always for my sweet friend Janet. May he Rest In Peace and feel no more pain. God be with him. A sad loss!
