Sandra Lou Orndoff, age 81, of Largo, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, in Largo, surrounded by her loving family. Sandra was born on January 1, 1945, in Linden, New Jersey, to the late Lou and Marie Deardoff. She married the love of her life, James Orndoff, on December 24, 1995, in Largo, Florida. Together they shared 18 years of marriage before his passing. Sandra dedicated more than 60 years of her career to the insurance industry. Even after retirement, her remarkable work ethic led her to continue working in Pinellas County through December 2025. She took great pride in helping others and was respected by colleagues and friends alike for her professionalism, kindness, and commitment. A faithful member of Anona United Methodist Church, Sandra found strength in her faith and enjoyed being part of her church community throughout the years.
Above all else, Sandra cherished her family. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Michelle Milot; her son, Rod C. McMillan; her daughter-in-law, Laura McMillan; her granddaughter, Corinne Thyme Milot; and her grandson, Patrick C. McMillan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Orndoff.
Sandra enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and was a devoted fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Tampa Bay Rays. She loved calling Largo, Florida, home and treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest source of pride and joy.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at noon on Saturday, September 5, at her home in Largo. A committal service with military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Funeral Care in Sandra’s memory.
Sandra will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her strong work ethic, her warm heart, and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
