Veteran Obituary Santiago Roldan Perez

Santiago Roldan-Perez, 85, SFC-US Army-Retired-Korean War and Vietnam War Veteran funeral service is 11:00 AM, Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Templo Betel Asamblea De Dios, 6001 South Main Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33611 with Reverend Tomas Montero, to officiate.  Full military honors and graveside services will be 2:30 PM, Friday, March 6, 2015 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 W 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida with the US Army Military Funeral Honors Team, to officiate.

A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico and a local resident since 1988, when he moved here from New York,  New York.  He was a retired US Army Veteran serving as a Food Service Supervisor and Warehouseman. During his military career, he was awarded a United Nations Service Medal; National Defense Service Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster; Good Conduct Medal 6th Award; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm; Korean Service Medal; Bronze Star Medal; two overseas Bars; Vietnam Armed Forces Honor Medal 2nd Class; Vietnam Counter-offensive Phase III, IV, VII; TET Counteroffensive; Vietnam Summer-Fall 69; Vietnam Winter-Spring 70; Sanctuary Counteroffensive; Consolidation I, II.

He is survived by his family: his wife, Edna Roldan of Tampa, Florida; a daughter, Judith Lopez of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
