SMSgt William Ralph “Bill” Venezia, 95, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on July 27, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 13, 1923..
He served his country in the United States Air Force and retired after having served 22 years. Following his successful military career, Bill owned his own business and managed two insurance companies both in Tampa and Homestead, Florida. Bill had a passion for music and singing all of his life and had a beautiful tenor voice.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, William R. Venezia, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mary; his brother, Charles of CA and his sister, Dorothy of PA; his daughter, Millie and her husband, Jim, and his son, Tony and his wife, Vicki, all from Tampa, FL. Bill has five grandchildren, Kimberley, Melanie, Jennifer, A.J., and Emily. He also has four great-grandchildren, Kylee, Cole, Jacob and Bella.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 13, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church. The church is located at 200 78th Avenue, NE, St. Petersburg, Florida. A private burial, with Military Honors, will follow at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, 200 78th Avenue, NE, St. Petersburg, Florida 33703.
