Stephen Bennett Goodman Sr.,  67, of Largo, Florida passed away peacefully on June 26, 2020 at Morton Plant Hospital Clearwater, Florida. Steve led a full life and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching the Bucs and The Rays play, Steve loved golfing and bowling, while playing his guitar he listened to his favorite Rock music. Growing up he was very athletic. Steve joined the Marines right out of High School, served 2 ½ years with an Honorable Discharge. After the Marines he played in a band, later he became an avid Salesman selling cars as his specialty.

Steve will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Steve was preceded in death by his parents James and Katherine “Kitty” Goodman and his brother James Goodman. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Lynne Goodman of Largo, Fl. together for 25 years married for 21. Brothers Rick Goodman and his wife Karen of Boone, North Carolina, Russ Goodman and his wife Sue also of Jonesboro, Georgia. Steve’s children Melissa and her husband Eric of Charlotte, North Carolina, Stephen Goodman Jr. and his wife Jessica of Largo, James “Jimbo” Goodman and his wife Melissa of Clearwater, his youngest Katherine “Katie” Goodman which she resided with him of Largo, Fl. Mother-in-law Celeste Perkins “Momma Celeste” of Dunedin, Fl. Brother-n-laws Bob Perkins of Clearwater, Fl. John Perkins of N.P.R. Fl. Sister-In-Law Donna of Dunedin, Fl. Steve loved all his Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. His best friend – his dog “RENO”.

Services will be held at Veterans Funeral Care on Friday, July 24, 2020, with a public viewing at 10:00AM and a Funeral Service at 11:00AM.  There will be a Military Honors Service at 2:00PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.
