Stephen C. Lamb


S

tephen Carroll Lamb was born on January 22, 1973 in St. Petersburg, Florida to Raymond and Leona Lamb. He passed away unexpectedly at his residence on November 1, 2016 at the age of 43. Stephen worked diligently for the Saint Petersburg Times, now known as Tampa Bay Times, for over a decade. He enjoyed spending time with family, going to movies, listening to rock n roll, playing video games, and most of all touring Florida with the Saint Petersburg Scooter Club.

Family

Stephen is survived by his mother Leona (Lamb) Youngblood of St. Petersburg, Florida; his brother Gary Lamb and sister in law Noreen along with his four nieces, Hailey Leona, Sarah Noreen, Moriah Grace and Norah Bethany. Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lamb.

Military History

Stephen joined the Navy in 1995 and was discharged in 1997 after being trained and serving as a Radioman. At the time of his honorable discharge Petty Officer Lamb was eligible to wear the National Defense Service Medal on his uniform. 

Service and Military Honors

A military funeral to celebrate the life of Stephen Lamb is scheduled for Monday, November 21, 2016 at 10:00 am with the Navy providing military honors. The graveside service will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery located at 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, St. Petersburg, Florida 33708. The Pastor David W. Vought of Irving Park Baptist Church will be officiating over the service.

Special Acknowledgments

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Lamb Family or to A Door Of Hope 8900 US Highway 19 N Pinellas Park, FL 33782. A Door Of Hope is a biblical foster care organization whose mission is to provide hope for kids in crisis while driving towards fulfilling the vision of ensuring every child has a home.
